Now that festival season is officially upon us, we're gearing up for the madness with plenty of flower power, fringe, feathers, crystals and most importantly, one seriously kick-ass party!

And since nobody understands the rocker-hippie-sexy-gypsy aesthetic like Luxury Jones, who better to throw said kick-ass party with?

When we first sat down with Niki (HBIC at LJ) to discuss party plans, she told us that the exclusive collection of re-purposed vintage sequin silhouettes she's working on for us is inspired by the idea that "the sun is our disco ball"...to which we replied "we're in".

Niki calls this collection "The Summer of Sequins" and wants everyone to let go of the notion that they're strictly night-time attire...and to embrace the glittery, sparkly magic moments that happen when the sun hits the sequins.

As if all that wasn't enough to get us completely jazzed about the event, she called in Hanna Beth...internet-star, rock-star, style-star and all around fashion maven...to co-host the event (check out pics of Hanna Beth below from her own blog post at LJ's studio). These two beauties will be on hand all day to give personal styling tips and offer fashion inspiration like only they can.

the Littledoe studio

Trying to capture the vibe of the magical Littledoe studio in pictures was no small task...it's definitely one of those 'you had to be there' moments. We walked in to the sweet sounds of Neil Young on the turntable and were immediately blown away by Chase Cohl's ethereal and wondrous aesthetic. This is where it all happens...the coming together of ideas, dreams and fantasies to create the most enchanting accessories a girl could wear. From hats adorned with crystals and feathers to crowns of millénaire flowers, I was quickly caught up in a "we'll take that and that and that" whirlwind. But you'll thank us for this indulgence later, as these stunning creations will soon adorn the shelves of Principessa. Web Obsession: On Abbot Kinney

Being an avid lover of both street fashion and beautiful photography, it's no surprise that I've become completely hooked on the website onabbotkinney.com. The man behind the lens, Michael Dumler, absolutely nails it here, perfectly capturing the Abbot Kinney style culture better than just about anyone. And it's always a bonus to see one of our Princi girls in the mix (that's Stella in the first pic)! But what I love most about this site is that it's the real deal...no 'staged' photos here using models & stylists...believe it or not, this is what people on Abbot Kinney actually look like! Not a bad place to set up shop :)

Inn Paradiso Paso Robles, CA

I have found Narnia. It exists in Paso Robles, California in the form of Inn Paradiso.

I had the pleasure of staying here last week and it was truly one of the most peaceful and relaxing trips I've ever had. While it's only about a three hour drive from Venice, it feels like you're in another world.

If you have even the slightest appreciation for art, architecture, craftsmanship, and literature, you will be in heaven. This place is pure inspiration.

The Inn itself is a Gaudi lovers dream, an original structure made from handcrafted redwood and cedar along with hand-forged ironwork (and hardly a sharp right angle in sight).

The grounds are teeming with fruit trees, wildflowers, lavender, and herbs...all of which make their way into either your homemade organic breakfast, homemade bath salts, or in-room decor.

The Inn also has one of the most interesting collections of art and antiques I've had the pleasure of enjoying and a wonderful selection of books from both their library and the individual rooms (to read in the hammock on a leisurely afternoon).

Nature plays such an important role in this Utopian experience, you could literally spend a month here and notice something different every day.

For you treasure hunters, there's a little on site boutique offering the most swoon-worthy collection of vintage jewelry and accessories...almost reason enough to make the trip!

Finally, what elevates Inn Paradiso from great to perfect are the owners Steve & Gisela...two of the most interesting, accommodating, and lovely people you could find.

Thanks to them, the regal Carlo (love on four legs), and their innkeeper Shannon, Inn Paradiso felt like home from the moment we arrived. And I already can't wait to go back.

I’m Obsessed

Ok, so I've been obsessed with my Smith's Rosebud Salve forever now...I always have several of those adorable little metal pots on hand (home, car, work, bag) so I'm never without one. It's perfect for moisturizing & glossing lips, taming brows, softening cuticles, or even a little cheeckbone highlight action in the evening. Well yesterday I finally picked up a tin of their Strawberry Lip Balm and I'm so in love I had to share. It's the adult version of my childhood Bonne Bell Lip Smackers and I'm obsessed. Again. :) xo
